Then, watch this video that Jesse took and look out for me.It's on Maroon5's official youtube channel.Wheeee.
'm right in front. And i'm the girl who says "hi" right before jesse says " i gotta go, bye".
Thou can see me at 0:19, at 0:30 ( being a complete loser attempting to get a pic of Adam) and at 0:39 till 0:41 ( looking terribly unGlam and saying Hi to the camera)
SO SEXITING!
Haha.
Drama. Gotta go. :)

Totally Stoked,

groupie extravaganza

"Please don't leave. Stay in bed. Touch my body instead."

And at this point a solitary finger trails across Adam Levine's sexy chest and i am throttled into a hormonal-frenzy.

The man is officialy THE sex symbol of the century. That voice. Those eyes. Those hands. Those words. That body. That dancing. Sigh.

Tonight was a blast. And to top it all off, Ms Groupie of the Year; Your's truly, actualy met Adam Levine, the frontman of Maroon5 up close. I freaking touched him. AAAAAH.

It feels so surreal. To see Maroon 5 in concert was already a dream come true. To actually touch Mr Hotstuff and get his autograph is out of this world.

The concert was fantabulous. The sound system was great. No hiccups or tech-errors. The lighting was fab. And the performance was flawless. Maroon 5 has proven to me that they sound even better live. Adam's passion and energy was incredibly infectious. As soon as he got on stage, girls everywhere ( i'm quite sure some guys here and there too ) started screaming their lungs dry.

"Adam I love you! Marry ME! KISS ME! "

Im not going to complain. Im guilty of the futile shouting and silly screaming too :)

The top 5 moments during the concert would be ( in no specific order )

1. His solitary finger across his chest

2. Adam lifting up his shirt

3. Singing Nothing lasts Forever

4. Singing She will be loved

5. Adam pointing to the 5 of us with posters while singing and shaking his very irresistable bonbons.

There are really no words that could do justice to what i'm feeling right now.. other than... TRALALALALA.

The only negative point was that the concert was waaaaay too short. I think it lasted no more than an hour and a half. Probably way less. And there was no cheering for an encore once the band got off stage. The end was very abrupt. And the song "Sweetest Goodbye" was not the finale song. It was so abrupt , i can't even remember what the finale song was. :(

But that aside, Maroon 5 is definitely an act to catch. They are captivating, entertaining and as i've said a million times, they have a frontman who IS the SEX .

Groupie Of The Year

Night.

Heyhey everyone!

I can finally stay up and do work! I am so happy. It looks like everything is falling nicely into place and i am finally clambering back onto the stallion that galloped through the past 12 years of education and will keep galloping on till the race to the start is over. That made sense. Don't say a word about the metaphor. It just works. In my head, at least.

Then again, nowadays, its so hard to tell if you've finally got the hang of things. One day, you could be scoring well for your tests, grasping concepts easily and birthing confusing, complex ideas that actually make sense and are relevant. And you think to yourself, ' Yeah, way to go. I'm finally doing this right!'. But the next day, you could be drowning in self pity and acedemic mayhem. You never know.

How anti-climatic. For all i know, i might just be deluded. I might not be clambering onto that stallion. It might be charging away into the moonlight, for all i know.

Sigh.

Anyway, i found this awesome singer. She is the frontman of her band, ' A Fine Frenzy'(the name of the band is actually a quote from Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream) . She's like the next best thing since Angus and Julia Stone and Feist. My favourite song by her is entitled 'Almost Lover'. The lyrics are really simple but , ironically, poignant. I guess, it all depends on whether you could attach an emotion or a memory to it.

The original version is filled with melancholy and pain. It reminds me of the song,' Breathe ' by Sia. If you've heard Breathe , you'd know that its a really emo song and most of the time you end up weeping in despair by the end of it. The version i especially like is the remix. Its a lot lighter and has an extremely bitter-sweet quality to it which i feel adds layers to the song and clarity to the message. Take a listen. I know quite a number of you who will definitely like it.

Also, i was reading a book on philosophy and chanced upon Plato's The Republic. I find it particularly fascinating because i actually see parallels between what he proposed in The Republic and The Handmaid's Tale. I am probably pushing what i read too far and over-analysing, throwing myself way off tangent unnecessarily but, we never know.

Basicaly what Plato proposes is a community where there are 'Guardians of the State' and these guardians are not permitted personal property. Sexual intercourse is regulated and citizens are only allowed to have sex at special festivals. The rulers will fix the outcome of the mating lottery so that only those of good breeding stock will be allowed to procreate. Thus Plato's republic has its own form of eugenics designed to produce strong and corageous children. At birth all children are taken away from their mothers to be reared by specially appointed officers.Children of inferior guardians and 'defective' offspring are disposed off.
Please say you see the parallels too.

Sexual regulation, abbolishing a typical family unit, women's indefinite role, disposal of 'defected' babies...

Well, i think its extremely THMT( The HandMaid's Tale) and if you deny it, its probably cos you think its TMTH( Too Much Too Handle). Haha. Sorry. Complete lapse in sanity.

Its late, i should get sleeping. Oh, and daddy got me perfume :) Versace's latest. To die for. Its like an orgasm on your skin and in your nose.

Farah

Rush to the End.

Aloha Little Ones.

Greetings from the airconditioned den-cum-library-cum-tvroom of Farah's Crib y'all.I feel honkytonky. Perhaps, if someone made me vote right now, i'd even vote for McCain. Heh. Yeah, right. Redneck is going down.*Thumps fist in palm menacingly.*
Back to reality - or, my reality at least- boy, am i tired! Hey, i'm still optimistic man. ( It's a start ) But i am pooped. I dont know why i found today espacially tiring.

Perhaps, it could be due the fact that we had to conduct rehearsals outdoors because Mr.Hud and Mr.Chang decided to take a day off and go galavanting into the enchanted forests of dumboland on their beautiful polka-dotted stallions - leaving us, poor little drama weasels without a sacred rehearsal space.

I swear, the heat saps my energy as much as ,uh, complicated men? Sigh. Im not feeling very lucid today. It feels like i'm PMSing or something. As i had aptly explained to Miss N a couple of days back. When that time of the month comes, you will hate everything from Bras to Boys. So its like a "go commando with your lesbo" week.

Moving On,

the talk in NUS was the biggest bout of BS since the Iraq war. Seriously. The only thing i left with was a pathetic 'goodiebag" which by the way contained no goodies. Zilch. Nada.Nimpatootus. And , and , and, do you know what else i left with? Hmmm? An amazing, new and improved, supercalifragilisticexpealidotiously extra-potent Migraine of the Bloody Month. 20 points to NUS!
Breathe. Count to Ten. Exhale.

Not Working.

Hey, hey, i'm still optimistic. No doubt there.

Meanwhile, I ate a tub of turtle soup. One might say, " My, me friend, when did they start serving soup in tubs, eh?". And I would say, "Me friend, me lovely Friend, Tis only signature of Mr Hotstuff Ben and Mr sexy Jerry to serve it frozen in a tub! And my, not only is it frozen - or was frozen, considering digestion would melt it, - oh no, tis also masked; disguised with an intruiging flavour reminiscent of vanilla ice-cream, caramel swirls, cashews and fudge. Fantastic, no?"One nods profusely.

Ooh, ooh. I just bought 20 dvds from a video ez sale!! Ive got really loverly vintage movies. Complete classics. :) But now, i am broke. In fact, i am in deficit. I owe momma loads of cash. Hopefully daddy replenishes tomorrow :)

I wish.

This post has no direction whatsoever. Its uninspired, wandering me.
Take it . Or leave it.
Topic.
Hormones.
They are driving me crazy. Aren't I supposed to be done with puberty? Huh?
But somehow i remember my aunt saying to my mum a few years back, " Sha, you better watch out for this one when she hits seventeen or eighteen. When those hormones kick in... " * her voice trails off and mum and aunt do the mutual head shake and click tongues in unison* "tsk tsk tsk" followed by the boy-those-were-the-days "SIGH".
Hormones.
So fascinating. I always mused and groaned about how i am going through puberty with raging hormones and mom is all pre-menopausal with her well, not-so-raging hormones. Its like putting two female cats in heat in a pot of water. MEOW.
That aside, I am going to surf the channels for something worth a watch. If i cant find nothing, I will hop into bed and snooze till 830 when its off to the gym! :)
Term 2, here i come!
I am still optimistic.
I AM. I AM. I AM.
Mind over matter.
Always, mind over matter.
See you syrupy honey sticks when i do.
Lovelove,
Farah

PS: Here is Miss Spear's new vid. Very sad. Better job could've been done. Even if she was going through hell, surely, they could've hired a better person to do this.

Oh well. Enjoy.

Baby, take it to the first step.

Hello Hello !
The holidays have drawn to an end. I feel re-energised and fresh. Ready to brave a term that is bound to leave me shacked. But bring it on baby!
I'm just hoping this optimism is going to last FOREVER.
Sat for the MCT's today. 'Twas horrible. But i'm not bothered. Considering i decided not to study for it . Oh, and Mark, the art teacher's son served as an amazing source of entertainment for quite a loooonnngg time. The kid is adorable. Haha. Can't wait to have my own.
Tomorrow, i've got drama rehearsals in the morning and i'll probably be heading down to NUS later in the afternoon. And on Sunday, my cuz is getting hitched. So, its a day with Dad. I really hope that turns out fine :)
Meanwhile, i am boogieoogieing my day away. I lovelovelove the weather. Perhaps the beach later.
Okiedokies. I'm off to tralalala land.
See all you sugary bon bons when i do.
Love,
Farah :)

Sleepy Mid Week.

That rather gloomy post aside,
I have to say , this week hasn't been that bad.
No major breakdowns or boohoos - so that qualifies as rather splendid.
Of course, the impending March Common Tests are a source of stress and insomnia.

If you know me well enough, you'd have observed by now that sleep and i don't go that well together . Ive always had trouble sleeping. If its not work, its the phone. If its not the phone, its the net. If its not that, then its just a plethora of other reasons including the fact that i just love the night and i'd rather sleep late into the day.

Yes - reality check - i wake up at 6. FINE. I just silently suffer with self-inflicted eyebags and mood swings. But thats where coffee comes in handy you see!

Anyway, back to my point - what was my point? - oh, yes. Sleep. Like, all of a sudden my body is in lovelovelove with sleep. And really, beautiful body of mine, " Its not the freaking year to feel sleepy!!!". I fall asleep as soon as i see tutorials or notes or anything that remotely reminds me of my a levels or anything acedemic for that matter. I think its my body's way of resisting my A's. It detects information. Rejects information. And I'm off on a flying carpet, next to Mr.Sandman.

Then, i wake up at 4:30 AM, lights on, homework not done, food on the table, paper on the floor and a really bad migraine.

Sigh.

Also, the midnight breeze has an amazing soporific effect. Its Auto-snooze. Auto-snooze. I like the word.

I need to get back to Othello. My sexy lascivious moor. I wish he would come alive. Cassio too. It'll be very sexy, no?And then, Ill invite Lofty over for a mass orgy.
Ewe.
Haha - visual.

Tomorrow is going to be a looooooooooong day. And next week is just not going to end.
Appleslumpdick.

Yes. It is a word.

Im off.
Toodles,
Farah :)
PS: Robert Palmer is the sex.
Watchy watchy.
Its Palmer's masterpiece. At least one of them - entitled, " I didn't mean to turn you on" - Smooth, no?

March blues.

Dear Friend,

I guess, surprisingly, im not going to disagree with half of your letter.

Most of what you said is true. I need to move past it. Maybe i chose not to work at that because its too emotionaly draining and right now this is all i can handle. Please understand. And i'm sorry i changed so much. Im sorry i've lost my exuberence. Im sorry im numb and mute. I wish things are different. But wishing deosnt get anyone that far. Accepting, on the other hand, does.

I know ive changed. Im not happy about it either. But im content and thankful its not worse. Coincidentaly, before i saw your letter, i was leafing through some things that reminded me of the past and i felt like i ran into a wall at some point and crashed. But, somehow, although i remember crashing, i dont remember when it got so bad. Its all a blur and i lost a part of me somewhere there. Im not entirely upset i lost a part of me though. Because, i gained a whole new facet to my personality. To my perspective. Perhaps, this newly found "facet" might just be more worhty and more important than the part of me that dissolved.

And, i am not second to anyone. Its not a matter of waiting .Its a matter of getting by - for now, because its not the time to mess up.Dont think im hanging on a line. Im not. Really. Just, trust me on this.

I know you want to help me. But, really im the only one who can help myself at this stage. I know you care and love. Thank you.

And as for me ignoring my feelings by burrying myself under books - i really have to disagree with that. Simply because, i do not chose to work hard. No, wait. I do. But its a mandatory choice. Honey, in the world i live, its do or die. My mother does not have the cash to send me to the UK to a medical college if i muck up my A's. God knows my father might be able to cough up large sums of money but i am not going to depend on him. You were lucky you beat the system. Please stop judging how involved i am in my work because you can only do that when you personally are in the system - which you aren't.I don't mean to sound harsh but your attitude towards my will and determination to keep myself excelling acedamicaly is really demoralising.Yes, i will take that break. When the opportunity presents itself. If i dont have the time to take that break, instead of reminding me how unfair the system is and how burnt out i am, perhaps, you could try encouraging me for a change.

I need your support. Really, i do.

And i know, you feel that by highlighting the things you surfaced in your letter is somehow a reality check for me - and by doing so you are rendering much needed help. But the reality is that i am living very much in the present and in reality. I know what the facts are. Most of the facts you laid down are true - and i've recognised them. But dont confuse my choice to push these facts aside for now in an effort to focus on my work as ignoring them. I notice them. I recognise them. But it is my choice not to change or act on them. Like you said, there is only so much i can do.

I am busy. I am stressed. I am burning out. I have changed. But lets face it. Its reality. It is what it is. And dwelling on it will get you and i nowhere.

That said,

i appreciate your letter and your concern. And your undying love and attention.

I love you.

You're a gem.

Take care darling.

Till june, then, eh?

Love, Farah.

LoveyDovey

I love this song. Its the sweetest, simplest thing . Extremely charming little piece. My favourite line - " we sure are cute for two ugly people " . Ironicaly, i still haven't watched Juno ( the song is off its soundtrack ) . I am waaaaay too low on cash. I want to win some cash. FAST. Alternatively, i can hope Dad visits soon with some ka-ching for moi. I could so be a Daddy's-girl.

Also, i'm going for a play tomorrow - Walking Into Doors. By haresh Sharma. Anjana ( our director/script-writer/very-imporant-person in drama) is acting :)

Mom's off to KL. Maybe i should've gone. I don't know. I'm so fickle. Like a pickle. Moron.

I'm tired. Its been an exhausting week. Mike is right. MUST sleep properly on Thrusdays so that im in a better state come Friday . Sigh.

Okay then. American idol, here i come. Oh , listen to this too. I love the lyrics and beat. Its so old-school, funky, kinky - not to mention hillarious :)

Ciao, Love, Farah :)
